To ensure that contractors are keeping up with schedules, they visit sites regularly to monitor. They also handle all issues that come up on the site.

These professionals also determined the requirements and objectives of structures. While working, they are often required to make estimations of labor, equipment, time, and materials that will go into the project. It remains to be their responsibility to bind all contactors with a contract of work. They are also responsible for managing such contracts. Technology allows for the use of computer software to produce scaled drawings.

The working hours of an architect are usually long, running from 9 in the morning to 5 in the evening. Most of the work on a full-time basis from Monday to Friday. Most of the work is done in an office. However, they also go to sites of work to monitor and assess progress. Some have offices in their homes from where they work.

The work of an architect determines the safety of many things including animals, scenery, plants and people. Thus, they must be trained extensively to gain the practical skills to do the job. They go through formal education as well as internship. Before being licensed, one must take and pass the Architect Registration Exam.
