A Faux Fur Throw Can Make A Room Look Fabulous

By Ruth Cole

Having a space that is both practical and luxurious is not impossible. The decorating options are almost limitless and some of these can be beneficial in other ways. Things like a faux fur throw are one of those items than can help a person use less energy and one made from quality materials can last a long time.

The cover ups used today are made from a variety of fabrics that not only look good but can also be functional. Best of all, many of these blankets and throws are affordable. One way to complete a room theme is to add matching pillows ow window dressings in a similar color.

Fur alternatives of today have changed for the better while remaining environmentally friendly. The new ones have a silky look and are buttery soft to the touch. Even better, maintenance is minimal and many types just need to be machine washed every so often. However, using a professional cleaner will guarantee a longer life.

There are also many color choices for faux fur and other luxury blended fabrics. Anyone can choose from blended colors, patterns or bold colors like blue, purple and yellow. Many of these can bring life to any home decor, whether it be fun, traditional, or somewhere in between.

Another advantage to using extra plush throws and blankets is that they require no electricity to be functional. This means no sudden bursts of heat or shutting off unexpectedly. These work with natural body heat so that it will remain warm yet comfortable.

An ideal companion would be an alternative fur area rug. This is ideal for indoors where there is little foot traffic. Not only does it look nice in bedrooms or living spaces but care is easy as well.

Candles are another way to create a chic look in a room that saves money and energy. Some flameless versions are made for sustainable use and emit a wonderful fragrance that can be relaxing. These are also good for maintaining a regular temperature without turning on a heater.

Keeping spaces clutter free with organizers are an efficient way to decorate. Often ideas can be merged so that pieces are not only functional but can be used as an accessory. All it takes is a little creativity and willingness to use space wisely.

For instance, old boxes with or without lids can be painted or covered with gift wrap made to match any room interior. If needed, handles can be made from old wire hangers or cut with a crafting knife. Once these are ready for use, they can be stacked along walls or placed underneath hard furnishings. These can be wonderful space savers and cut to accommodate almost any item worth storing.

Being frugal and fabulous has many rewards. Anyone can transform a room with just a few pieces that look luxurious but do not cost a lot. Not only is it fun to create a look fitting of personal tastes but it can also help a bank account balance grow faster.
