Administration Is Capitalization

By Allison Bracken

No longer can dental offices ignore the need to properly administer their financial and personnel resources. Both are essential to growing a practice and maintaining a high level of quality care for patients. There is help available that will educate and prepare the dental professional to address these essential issues.

"I Only Want What Insurance Will Pay For," is a video for dentists tired of this sort of response to medical recommendations. Many people do not want to pay thousands of dollars for what they see as unnecessary surgery. This video can inform you how to deal properly with these types of situation. It is important to be able to help a patient understand what they should focus on with their oral health. Another important skill is to know how to help as opposed to manipulating a patient. You can learn this by joining "Helping Your Patients Say Yes!" You must know how to guide your patient to make the best decision for them. It must benefit the patient and their long-term health, not just the dentist's bank account.

But knowing how to deal with the basic business functions will save the dentist money by eliminating the often expensive overhead associated with hiring in qualified, yet expensive, consultants and advisors. Saving money is one goal of the Schuster Center, but its primary concern is equipping dentists and other dental professionals with the knowledge they need to operate a functioning dental business office.

The final video by Dr. Schuster is called, "Dentistry and Your Future." Dentists can become frustrated with where the industry is heading and may disapprove of the happenings in the dental community. They may feel hopeless that creating the practice they've always wanted isn't possible. Building the life that they want may be out of reach. Dr. Schuster believes that it is possible. There is a way to get the life you want.

To get you started, the Center offers a free consultant coaching call at no obligation to you. You can go to their website and have them contact you to go over your specific needs and develop a training regimen that is best for you, your staff, and the clients you work with. Every practice is different and has different demands from the patients and staff. Of course, if you choose to go in a different direction, then you will not encounter any high-pressure sales tactics or harassing calls urging you to return. You will have the benefit of walking away a more knowledgeable dental practitioner and having a good idea of what you need to learn to become increasingly profitable and expand your practice and better manage your dental business office.
