An outdoor fire place is a very exciting idea especially if you have a back yard. It usually very safe since it is outside. One of the advantages of this is that it cannot burn your house down in case there is chimney fires that are usually very common. You might have chosen a spot to build it and also a design you might want. Before you start and spend a lot of money there are some things that you have to have in mind since they are important in the construction of a concrete outdoor fireplace.

After you have gone through the laws check your homeowner insurance. This is to make sure that you do not have to change anything in your policy. If there any changes, do them before starting your construction. By doing this you will prepare so that no inspector stops you halfway through your construction work.

If you have an insurance policy for your home it is wise you go through it. There might be some sections that will need to be amended. You can also consider changing the policy to fit you. The state might also have other restrictions. You should know these fine details so you do not get into trouble. They might specify what fuel you should use.

For uniformity in your backyard it is wise to consider the home design as well. You should consider the materials that the patio is made of o that you can match the fire place to the style of your patio. Even though this might be limiting, you can still choose a design of your choosing. This way you will have a fireplace that will stand out. Just make it fit the garden plan.

You might want a fireplace so bad you want to build it anywhere. This might be very dangerous. Where you build is one of the key factors that you should keep in mind at all times. When choosing a spot, there are some things you will have to put in mind. It needs to be as far as possible from your house as possible.

You will also need to build it way from other structures. These structures include barns and play houses. Play houses are most delicate since your child plays in them. Children can be careless and if there is a fire place close by they can easily get burnt by the fire. Garages should also be far enough so they also do not catch fire.

Most back yards have trees. If you have a few you need to make sure no tree branches hang over the area as they easily catch fire.

If you will be building the fire place on a deck, it should be able to withstand both the heat and the weight. It is wooden cover it with a heatproof material.
