You need to make certain your jaw is relaxed, and stop grinding your teeth. When we are stressed out, the tension will focus somewhere in our bodies; most commonly in the jaw. If you are having a stressful day, just tap the jaw lightly with your index finger, clench your jaw and breathe in deeply, then breathe out slowly. This should relieve some of the stress and help you feel better.

A professional massage makes a great way to manage and purge your stress. Tense muscles are a byproduct of your body carrying around extensive stress. Getting a great massage will not only relax your muscles, but it will also make you feel less stressed.

Make certain you tell those closest to you that the stress you are feeling isn't because of them. Often, your family, especially kids, will not understand your stress, and they will feel like it was caused by something they did. Your stress should be your problem, and you should never displace it onto those around you who you love the most.

You may think that you will never be able to live your life without stress, but actually, a stress-free life is easy to arrange. When you find out what is causing stress in your life, figure out what you can do to avoid it.

Stand by a solid wall, put your weight in your hands on the wall, and push hard while bracing your feet on the floor. This forceful stretching will work tension out of your body and take your focus off of whatever is causing you stress.

Spearmint oil may be quite helpful with your stress. Apply a small amount of spearmint oil to your neck and temples when you feel stressed. Little things like this can have a huge impact on your overall stress level, try it!

A great way to reduce the stress in your life is to forgive others. If you spend all of your time dwelling on how others have wronged you, you will just end up grumpy and miserable.

Crafts or arts can be useful to help relieve stress. Activities such as writing, painting, carving, sculpting and other creative endeavors allow the mind to roam free of financial concerns, deadlines and problems.

Music can sooth the savage beast that is stress. Listening to calming music is a tried and tested stress reduction technique. Choose the music that you enjoy, as everyone's taste in music is different. Listening to music you like will cause your brain to release serotonin, which will make you feel calm and happier.
